Homeless Needs - We collect items for the homeless in Louisville and Hardin County. Items needed are hats, socks, razors, toothbrushes, small tubes of toothpaste, socks, tennis shoes, boots (snow/work), tee shirts, long johns, sweat shirts, sweat pants, blue jeans, sleeping bags, tents, tarps, flashlights, AA-AAA batteries, STERNO, peanut butter crackers, canned food with pop open tops : beef stew, soups, vienna wieners, canned fruit, pork-n-beans,boxes of indiv. snack cakes or chips, bottled water, PB or cheese crackers, pkgs of Ramen soup, indiv size boxes of cereal, pkgs of hot cocoa/instant coffee. You may drop of these items on Wednesday evening at Nana’s Room 6-7:30.
Fellowship: All are invited to bring their own supplies and work on your favorite hobby or craft while you enjoy the company of other crafters at Nana’s Room. You can share your craft with others or learn a new craft from someone else. Would you like to learn to crochet- knit- sew on sewing machine-make mission rosaries- then this is the place for you!
Service to Others: We understand that not everyone can come out on a Wednesday evening but would like to help. If you would like to help at home to cut our quilt pieces, sew quilt pieces, make Rosaries, crochet mats, or cut up bags to make balls for our mats please call Gail. She will get you started.
Blue jeans are still needed! In any conditon to make our blue jean quilts -we make one every year for the church auction and give one to people fighting Cancer.
We are collectng plastc bags for the homeless mats.
Our rosary makers are hard at work -we send our rosaries to St. James -they pass them out when they take communion to patients at Hardin Memorial Hospitaland we also send them to OLRM in Louisville for distribution to missions and missionaries around the world.
